11/5: Zonal Flow and Western SNOW

Good Evening Folks!

Talk about a Cold, but Sunny Day. Some of us woke up to some Snow on the Ground. Here are the Totals for portions of Southeastern WY:

NOW, as we head into the Rest of the Week, not much going on for much of Central WY.  A "Zonal" or a West to East Flow Weather Pattern is shaping up.  This is more commonly of a quiet, Winter Weather pattern with no Digging of a Trough or Jet Stream dipping. NO MAJOR STORM Chances at this time for much of Central & Southeastern WY.    The term "High & Dry", well thats our Pattern.  Dry and breezy weather persisting for Several Days as Temperatures will try to Rebound near Seasonal.

<< ALL Models show this Pattern of Zonal Flow, but some Jet Stream energy will nose in the Western Mtn's causing some Light Snow Amounts this late evening on Tuesday and likely for Wednesday.

THURSDAY: MUCH Warmer and staying Blustery as we'll shift our pattern with strong Southwest wind pattern ahead of our next Front sliding into Western WY by Overnight Hours on Friday. Seasonal Temperatures in low to mid 50°s but we'll pay the Price for a Normal Fall day in WY~ Windy :(

<< DRY and Breezy on Thursday, but you start seeing Light Snow is possible for Western WY well ahead of our Front.

FRIDAY MORNING:  The Front from the West is forecasted to slam Western WY with Light to Moderate Snowfall from late Thursday through Mid-Day Friday and thinking this will be the criteria for an Advisory of some sort.  However, I don't see much for Central WY out of this. The Wind Field will be TOO STRONG as the moisture will be ripped apart for any Snow to fall.  However, maybe the Bighorns & Black Hills could see some Light Snow.

SNOW AMOUNTS:  As always, this is NOT my Forecast. The newest NAM Forecast shows Feet of Snow for Western WY Mountains as all of Central WY stays dry except some Accumulation in the Bighorns.  GFS is trending the same pattern at the Moment, so onto forecast the new storm for Central WY.  Keep you posted through the Week on the Latest Developments.
