11/6: Breezy/Mild Thursday with Mountain Snow

Evening Folks,

THURSDAY will feature another Afternoon with Southwest Wind Flow through the Wind Corridors across WY; especially along Interstate 80, WY 220 and along the Cody Foothills.

All of Central & Southeastern WY will stay dry, but I guess the only "good" thing about the Wind is that the Temperatures will stay Seasonal in the Low to Mid 50°s.
<< GFS is hinting Mild Temps from Riverton-Casper, and up along the I-25 Corridor.  .

You can also see the Wind Barbs showing that Southwest Direction; which will aid those Seasonal Temps.

NOW, there is a Snowy Side as forecasted this Week for Western WY.  All Models point to Light-Moderate Snowfall Thursday Evening for much of Western WY and some of the Higher Elevations in Central WY as our Cold Front passes.

<< Blustery Winds will continue throughout Central WY as our Long-Wave Trough slides in with lots of Dynamics in our Atmosphere killing ANY Snow chances for the Lower Elevations.

SNOW AMOUNTS looks to stay to the West where the Weather Prediction Center is showing about 4-8" as the Storm slides in late Thursday into Early Friday.

LOOKING AHEAD, Western WY looks to stay Moist as Several waves of energy will nose out of the Jet providing more Snow Accumulation through Sunday Evening. However, its bad news for Snow Lovers in Central WY.  Bone Dry as we'll stay High and Dry.

<< The NAM Model shows over a Foot in some spots in Western WY.  This is great for the Snowpack AND Skiing season coming up.
